Eco Alternative began with a lunch I couldn’t stop thinking about.
I had bought three rice paper rolls at Sydney’s MLC Centre. Each came in its own plastic container, alongside three separate sauce tubs and a plastic takeaway bag.
Seven pieces of plastic for a meal that lasted only a few minutes.
It raised a simple question: if better packaging already existed, why wasn’t it easier for businesses to choose?
That question became Eco Alternative.
